Aloha John,
Just wanted to drop you a line to say "thanks" for the speedy shipping to Hawaii. I flew the blades today on my rebuilt MD500 with Blade 400 mechanics (see RCGroups thread on your blades in the mini helis section). Awesome, awesome blades. I have to admit I thought they looked cheesy at first glance but they DO perform. I am amazed at how quiet they are. Best $20.00 blades I've ever bought. I shoulda got your landing gear also. I didn't scroll drown far enough to see you had them. Those look killers too. Thanks a bunch!

Hi John,
Got the blades in the mail yesterday,4/28, and put them on, but the wind was 25-30mph here, so I left it on the ground till this morning. I put them on my Esky Belt CP, (it's a 450 sized knock off of a T Rex) , because it was always a bit less stable than the T Rex.
I flew two battery packs to exhaustion in the driveway, here's some feedback.
First, I got exactly the result I was hoping for. The heli was always "wobbly" before.(Take into account I'm not new to R/C , but pretty new to helicopters, any observation is subject to my lack of experience,so pardon the layman's description here.) The main shaft would seemingly rotate in mismatched concentric circles, or put another way, the disk and tail boom were never reliably parallel to the ground. Any wind or input from me seemed to induce an oscillation that I had to work to recover from. This was especially tough for me to work through as I rotated the nose
right or left in a hover, and nose-in was unthinkable.
All those tendencies disappeared. Period. The heli maintains an even keel , the mainshaft and disk stay perpendicular, and parallel to the ground, respectively, without my having to think about it. The heli was stable enough to let go of the sticks for 4-5 seconds at a time, plenty of time to input a fine trim change and watch the result.
On the second pack, the wind picked up a little,to about 5-8 mph. Although the wind would push the heli back, or sideways a little, the disk and tail boom stayed level, and was much easier to compensate for. A huge difference.
I hovered the second pack at generally at about 10-12 feet high, which is about 6-7feet higher than I was ever comfortable with this particular heli before. Rotating the nose 90 degrees left and right presented no difficulty, for a change. I haven't tried nose in yet.
I'm ordering two more sets of 325's this morning, one for my T Rex, an one for a spare. Would you like some feedback on the T Rex changeout ?
Thanks,

Hey John,
Great product you have there. Recently fitted a pair on my Trex 450
SA, and was quite impressed with the flying qualities and low power
consumption. Took a friend out yesterday in rainy, gusty (15kts
gusts to 25 kts) and flew head to head with him on his Trex 450 SE,
max warp head speed. He could barely control his heli, and was knee
shaking after a 4 minute flight. I was relaxing, doing piros and
easy forward flight, landing whenever I felt like it. I think I just
sold another set for you. The increased mass of the blades together
with the linear pitch characteristics over their usable pitch range
really work well for the sport flier (ie me). I had been running CY
Radix 325's at 3k rpm, and would only fly during nearly calm
conditions. Your plastic blades have opened up flying in most
conditions I experience here in San Diego.
Saving the Radix for another project.

John,
Thanks so much for the reply..
I installed your blades and WOW! what a difference. With an after market gyro and brushless motor they make ALL the difference in the world. Main shaft spins perfectly and I'm guessing about 12 minutes hover time in my GARAGE! Very stable! I'm not afraid anymore! LOL

Hi John,
Just wanted you to know, after a year of using your flat bottom blades, they are finally almost worn out.
They have hit Trees, the Truck, the side of the house on many occasions, not to mention several direct inclined high speed landings, and they are the best blade going. One of your competitors sent me a set of his plastic blades, and I used them a few times, and could never get them to track properly. He sent me special instructions on how to adjust tracking, but I have several helicopters, and don't have a problem setting up the tracking on them. These Blades just will not track, not to mention, they were matched as far as weight, but were physically different in size. One blade had more surface area then the other, and the air foil was thicker on one then the other. So I decided to put them where they would do the most good. I will be waiting for my New set of blades that I just ordered from you!
Thanks,
Victor

Dear JCS Hobbies,
Today I received the Plasti-Blades I ordered last week from you. I had
three battery packs ready for some indoor flights. After attaching the
rotors I checked the balancing which was perfect. I attempted my first
take off and only could get a couple inches off the ground. I expected
this so after a quick adjustment to increase the angle of attack I was
up and flying. At a hover the and in directional flight the heli was
much more stable than when using the old balsa wood blades. The flight
time was cut a little bit due to the slightly heavier blade but I'd rather buy an
additional battery than buying tons of balsa wood and destroying the
forest and my wallet. I have to say I'm more impressed than I thought
I'd be. After about an hour and a half of flying and a couple crashes
not even a scratch! I'll definitely recommend these to my peers! Have a
good day.

Howdy, John!
After more than a year of crashing, banging and scarring, I finally retired my first set of Plasti-Blades due to a quarter-inch-long crack in the leading edge of one blade.
Thanks to those blades, I can now fly forward with no effort (or nerves) whatsoever. That chopper goes exactly where I point it...and I am literally wearing out far more parts than I'm breaking. Crashes are nearly nonexistent unless I have a mechanical problem. For instance, my last crash was due to a bearing in the tail rotor which failed on takeoff and sheared off the shaft. Though it was a relatively minor crash, it still did the blade in. Those blades are tough customers and probably would continue to serve with no problems, but I wanted to be safe.
They paid for themselves a hundredfold.
After about ten flights on the replacements, I'm pleased to say that there isn't so much as a scratch on them. :)
I wish you continued success.

Hey,
Thought I’d let you know as if you didn’t already, I hope you keep these puppies in production for a long while :) I’m into planes, helis and trucks. I was shown the plasti-blades 3 weeks ago by local hobby shop (galaxyhobby.ca) and he was explaining how different flight is and went on about these things. I to be honest shrugged it off very hesitant to try plastic blades… Who heard of it? How stupid I was!! I went in today to buy the vertical tail mount and seen them again, said lets try them I have nothing to lose. Slapped them on and my god, in my living room without the training gear I was able to take off and hover with ease.
Leave it to me, I crashed twice in here because I panicked when it came to close to my glass shelves and they went directly into my wood floors and a wood railing the second time, I chipped my railing, blades? Hehe still flying like when I first turned it on.
I just wanted to thank you for this beautiful things, all I know is that I can finally take this thing off the shelve and try flying it outdoors instead of trying to save money. I’ll probably be buying few from your site if you offer them there, I haven’t had the chance to check as hobby shop from what I can tell sells them a bit expensive and I’d like multiples.
Amazing job and glad someone (you) came up with the idea.

John,
I got your blades today, and you know I had to try them out. My hat is off to you. I have a Blade CP Pro, I have only been learning to fly RC's for the past week and a half. Needless to say, I have had my share of crashes. When I installed your blades, I "hovered" an entire battery charge, no crashes. I actually think the extra weight makes the aircraft more stable.

Hello
I just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for keeping my Blade off of EBay! I was almost ready to call it quits. The cost of replacement blades was literally keeping me out of the sky. Then I found Plasti-Blades.
I am a new r/c heli pilot and was quickly finding out that any little ding in a stock blade quickly turned into an $18 dollar repair. I installed your blades and found that my Blade became a little more tame in the sky (i.e. easier to fly) and that I was not as afraid of hitting the ground which gave me more confidence. So long story short I achieved my first hover with your blades then later that day flew into a rock wall. Yes. A rock wall ! Instead of being down for a week I just had some dings on my new Plasti-Blades. I am very happy with your product and will be introducing them to my LHS.
Again thanks for bringing the Plasti-Blade to the masses. I'm sure you have helped keep a ton of Blade CP's off of EBay.
Sincerely,
Craig Hartnell

Okay, well I bought the Plasti-Blades. Thanks for the quick shipping, really didn't expect it to arrive in just about 2 days or so. Anyway, I took the blade out with an original wooden set of main blades, and flew around for a couple minutes till I came down (and I even had the training gear attached) and the main blade hit the dirt, messed up the wooden blades pretty bad, as well as broke one of the blade grips ball socket Total Cost $19.00.
So I replaced the blade grip and put on the Plasti-Blades, went back outside and gave it another try, hit a large oleander bushes hard trunk, this time with the Plasti-Blades on the blade CP came out with not even a nick in them, though I did bust another blade grip Total repair cost $4.00 I much prefer busting the blade grip for $4.00 then busting the blade grip and main blade for $19.00 each time. I don't notice any more stability or instability with the Plasti-Blades installed, but I do see a whole lot less destructibility.
$4.00 vs. $19.00 repair and I'll take the $4.00 repair every time.
I was pretty turned off by my local hobby town store employee attitude when I asked him if he carried these Plasti-Blades, he was basically yelling at me (my friend was there and he was the one that said he'd never buy from them again because of the rudeness of the employee and I have to agree, now I shop at the local mom and pop hobby store about a mile further away then him, even though the mom and pop store sometimes will have to order the items I need or want), and he was saying yes the Plasti-Blades will be stronger but I will break other things. I asked him how much stock blades are, and he responded $15.99, and I asked him how much blade grips are, and he responded $8.00 Okay so its cheaper to replace the blade grips then the blades themselves, to which he was almost red in the face and almost screaming at me that sure it's cheaper but you have to spend more time doing it. Hmmmmm takes all of a minute or two to replace the actual main blades, and just another minute of two to replace a blade grip. Yeah, I wont be shopping in that store anymore. I hate rude people.
Thanks Plasti-Blades.
